We dropped off our hitchhiker and found a campsite next to Magone Lake.

It was almost impossible to find. We'll be writing a sternly worded letter to the National Forest Service about their directions

But it was gorgeous once we got there. Not too crowded, and the people there were friendly.

Our campsite was a nice private-ish little spot with great amenities -- good fire pit, concrete table.
